尼日利亚可可生产的技术效率与技术差距比率:一种随机共同前沿-Tobit(SM-Tobit)方法

本研究分析了尼日利亚可可生产的技术效率和技术差距。采用多级抽样技术,从尼日利亚三个可可商业种植区中选出390名可可农民。分别对Kwara、Edo和Ondo州的农民进行了随机前沿模型的估计,并采用了一个共同前沿模型,以获得不同州农民技术效率的替代估计。随后,使用Tobit模型获取影响研究区域可可产量的因素。结果表明,汇总样品的平均技术效率水平为0.685,Kwara、Edo和Ondo州的平均技术效率水平分别为0.506、0.837和0.713,这表明尼日利亚的可可产量有很大的提高空间。Kwara、Edo和Ondo州的平均MTR值分别为0.506、0.837和0.712,表明Edo州的技术效率高于研究区其他州。84.3%的平均技术差距(TGR)值表明,平均而言,研究地区的可可农民必须缩小约15.7%的差距,才能提高技术效率。研究建议,Edo和Ondo州的可可农民可以通过利用现有技术和资源进行更好的管理来提高其技术效率,而在Kwara州应采取干预措施,通过向农民饲养和分发抗病和高产的可可苗,提高有助于缩小区域前沿曲线与全球前沿曲线之间差距的技术。
